Programme Launch

Critical Voices 3 will launch at 6pm on Tuesday March 14th at the RHA, Gallagher Gallery, Dublin. The 2006 programme will officially be launched by Mary Cloake, Director of the Arts Council. This will be followed with a talk by writer, critic and campaigner for freedom of speech, Lisa Appignanesi. Lisa's most recent work is as editor of an anthology of essays on censorship published by English PEN, entitled Free Expression Is No Offence. English PEN successfully campaigned against the proposed Incitement to Religious Hatred bill in the UK and this volume is a thought provoking collection of essays on the issues surrounding the bill.
