Critical Voices 3 was the third programme in the Arts Council's biennial series of public events which aims to stimulate public debate about and inform critical understanding of art and culture. This year’s programme ran from March to December 2006 and featured interviews, lectures, panel discussions and performances, encompassing all artforms. Guests of this year’s programme included British author and psychoanalyst Adam Phillips; US artist, musician and poet Patti Smith; Mexican performance artist and writer Guillermo Gómez-Peña; and Russian composer, poet and pianist Lera Auerbach. Details of all of these events and biographies of the guests are available on this website. A fuller archive of material including photographs and transcripts of events will be added to the site early next year, along with material relating to Critical Voices 1 & 2. If you have any queries or comments regarding Critical Voices, please contact us at criticalvoices@artscouncil.ie.
